Crafted with Care & Grounded in Legacy
About Lurlina
Lurlina was born from a lifelong connection to Australia’s gemstones, and the belief that fine jewellery should feel personal, and not out of reach.
I grew up surrounded by colour and sparkle. My father, Ross Chapman, has spent almost six decades in the jewellery industry as a gemmologist, and tutors for the Gemmological Institute. Our family’s history is grounded in the red earth of the Queensland outback, where our own opal mine, Big Red, had been part of our story for generations.
After years of watching the jewellery world place heavy mark-ups on naturally beautiful stones, I wanted to create something different. Jewellery that celebrates authenticity - natural stones, ethical sourcing, and craftsmanship - without the pretence.
Every Lurlina piece begins with a real gem, most cut by my father’s hand. Each one tells its own story, shaped by time, pressure, and the Australian landscape itself.
Our pieces are designed to be worn every day, to become part of your own story, effortless, elegant, and full of meaning.
Lurlina is named after my middle name, a nod to heritage, femininity, and quiet beauty.
This is jewellery made to last a lifetime, not just a season. Designed in Australia. Made with real gemstones. Founded in legacy.

Designing Together
My father, Ross, and I still design together as often as we can, sorting through trays of opal, discussing colour, and imagining how each stone might come to life.
He brings almost six decades of gemmology and a jeweller’s precision; I bring a modern eye for form and everyday wear. Between us, old traditions meet new design.
Each piece carries a little of both, his experience, my vision, and the unmistakable beauty of the stones we’ve known all our lives.
