Rich, warm and completely their own. Deep red-pink Malaya garnets at the top, solid Australian boulder opal drops below, in an amber, burnt orange and chocolate palette that is unlike anything else in the collection.
Malaya garnet sits outside the standard garnet families, a rare hybrid variety prized for its intense pinkish-red to orange-red colour and exceptional brilliance. The oval-cut stones glow with a deep, saturated warmth that anchors the top of the earring with real presence. If you know garnets, you will recognise immediately that these are something special.
The boulder opal drops are extraordinary in their own right. Rather than the dark ironstone with colour flash that characterises most boulder opals, these stones carry broad sweeps of amber and burnt orange across a chocolate brown matrix, with glimpses of shifting colour play within. The pattern is geological and painterly at once, like a landscape seen from above.
Long and slender with gently rounded corners, the drop silhouette is elegant and architectural with a movement that is graceful rather than heavy. Together the garnets and opals create a warm, earthy colour story that feels considered and completely wearable. A piece for someone who knows what they like and is not looking for everyone else to have the same thing.

Every hand-crafted piece is as unique as the pieces of opal they are created around to create eye-catching, impressive mini works of art. All opal in the Collection are excavated from our family opal mine, Big Red, located in Western Queensland.
The opals and the gemstones are directly sourced in the rough and cut by Ross Chapman, Fellow and Lecturer of the Gemmological Association. He is also the father of Annie, founder of Lurlina. Hence, the jewellery is of the highest quality and offers excellent pricing as there is no middleman.
These are solid, natural opals and will not be affected by water.
Moisturisers and body creams will not damage your opal jewellery, but a build-up of these products may reduce its shine.
Avoid abrasives or hard knocks as this could possibly damage your opal jewellery.
To clean, use a soft cloth or toothbrush with a mild detergent and warm water.
