Oval-cut teal sapphires in a deep, inky blue-green anchor the top, then cascade through two bezel-set boulder opal drops that evolve in character from top to base. The upper opals carry warm red and orange flash against dark ironstone. The lower opals shift into vivid electric green and blue. Four stones that read as a single, considered composition changing with every angle and every light.
The triple drop format is one of the most technically demanding earring designs to execute well. Each stone individually selected, cut and set so the cascade flows naturally without one drop overwhelming another. The result is a long, architectural silhouette that moves beautifully and creates genuine presence without any sense of heaviness.
Teal sapphires are increasingly sought after by collectors who want something beyond classic blue, prized for their distinctive colour sitting between ocean and forest. At 1.5 carats across the pair in a well-proportioned oval cut, they are a substantial and confident anchor for everything below.
The opal drops total 6.3 carats, all solid Queensland boulder opal sourced from our family mine. No two drops are alike, and no two pairs of these earrings will ever exist. At 5.85 grams they are lighter than they look, comfortable through a long evening despite their considerable length. Handmade and bezel set throughout in polished 925 sterling silver.

Every hand-crafted piece is as unique as the pieces of opal they are created around to create eye-catching, impressive mini works of art. All opal in the Collection are excavated from our family opal mine, Big Red, located in Western Queensland.
The opals and the gemstones are directly sourced in the rough and cut by Ross Chapman, Fellow and Lecturer of the Gemmological Association. He is also the father of Annie, founder of Lurlina. Hence, the jewellery is of the highest quality and offers excellent pricing as there is no middleman.
These are solid, natural opals and will not be affected by water.
Moisturisers and body creams will not damage your opal jewellery, but a build-up of these products may reduce its shine.
Avoid abrasives or hard knocks as this could possibly damage your opal jewellery.
To clean, use a soft cloth or toothbrush with a mild detergent and warm water.
